Directly quoted from the book. This article seems more toned toward Halo Fanon, rather than Halopedia -- the Sangheili found the use of a wrist-bound shield to be dishonourable due to its affiliation with Kig-yar. They would not wield them unless ordered. The cited origins of this 'defence gauntlet' are from a falsely quoted section of a book, and the pre-release screenshots of CE. And yet Rtas uses an angular arm shield in The Last Voyage of the Infinite Succor. It does seem to be in conflict with Ghosts of Onyx, but it's always possible that particular case was an exception for whatever reason. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 10:31, 22 November 2015 (EST)
