Sonata is an Outer Colony planet in the Helice-12 system, colonized by humans. It is considered an agriculture world.[1]

The planet had deep blue skies, highlands, hills, forests, and rich blond soil. Thousands of green Florus crops could be found on the planet.[1]

In 2558, ONI officers arrived and canvassed the entire community surrounding Laine Forge, due to Rion Forge's wanted status. Months later Rion herself, in the Ace of Spades, went to the planet to visit her mother.[1]

The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) maintains an office in Lanchessa.[1]

The planet, through Florus Corp, exported Florus to human space; a type of non-glucose sweetener.[1]
