Question about making a new article
Hi there! Since you helped me before i was wondering if you could tell me if i can create an article similar to the campaign levels walkthrough guides, but instead, i want to make it related to the BOBs. This because the current article its just about where they are, and has no specific strategies to kill them.
If it can be done i have several videos of all of them (except for 2) to provide sources. Or if it can be done inside the same BOB article would be nice too.
Thanks!Siul S-249 16:02, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
- I would ask an administrator about this. It seems like a good idea though. A list of admins can be found here. Try asking Forerunner, he's online a lot.--Lt. Commander 光环的家伙1234 Talk (Contribs) (Edits) 19:13, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
- I will do it right now, thanks! Siul S-249 19:53, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
- Uh, then i use the link i get an error, it says "The requested page title was invalid, empty, or an incorrectly linked inter-language or inter-wiki title. It may contain one or more characters which cannot be used in titles."Siul S-249 19:55, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
- Uh sorry for stalking, but Halopedia:Administrators seems to be a more accurate page. And you can name the page you suggested "BOB/Gameplay", so you can place the template "{{Gameplay link}}" on the BOB's article trivia section. See Sangheili article's Trivia section for reference.—S331 (Tank beats Everything!) 20:33, 1 November 2011 (EDT)

Bullet in the barrel of your best guy's gun
Well then, if Forerunner insists on it, alright, but I say that it's better to keep them. It helps keep an overall standard, and when there's only a single trivia point it causes the section to look like it's solely about that sentence rather than a miscellaneous section. Additionally, a new user might come along and not realize that one has to add a bullet to add a new trivia bit. Sure, it could be fixed ourselves, but it's best to minimize the risk of confusion to begin with. Overall it helps maintain a constant page standard. - "Yeah that sounds good." I can't tell if that means you agree or disagree with me on whether the bullet points should be returned? Tuckerscreator(stalk) 17:58, 12 November 2011 (EST)

Mona Lisa
I placed some points on the talk page. I think we've seen the whole "between Halos 1 and 2" concept before... it turns out that it means "Between the end of Halo: Combat Evolved and the start of part 2 of Halo 2" (Remember that there is a big gap between "Metropolis" and "Delta Halo") Halo: Uprising "bridges the gap", despite the fact that it occurs before the Halo 2 ending. The whole thing is awkward as hell.-- Forerunner 15:47, 25 November 2011 (EST)
- Just saw it. Though I can actually agree with both parts of the argument. Do you think there's any way we could get clarification on this from 343 or something?--Commander 光环的家伙1234 Talk (Contribs) (Edits) 15:52, 25 November 2011 (EST)
- We used to send letters (read: emails) to end disputes; perhaps we could do it, again. My guess is that there was some oversight by the authors of The Mona Lisa on the part of the escapades of High Charity's defence fleet. I guess, if either viewpoint can be supported, we could, for the time being, note-out the "Battle of Earth" positioning and instead have something like <!--There is some debate between when the story took place, and so it cannot be confirmed whether or not the Battle of Earth had already begun--> Usually we just work-around these things. For example, the re-print of Halo: The Flood shows the Ascendant Justice being at Installation 04 when the Pillar of Autumn arrived; the original and reprint versions of First Strike instead say that it was part of a detatchment sent by High Charity to investigate. We concluded that the Covenant had reached Installation 04 some time before the Autumn's arrival and that High Charity had sent a scout group ahead of it while it made its approach. -- Forerunner 16:01, 25 November 2011 (EST)
RE: User Page
Thanks! I'm so flattered. XD I wanted to use the Forge World concept art as a background, but I can't find any way to do it, so I just made a Portal 2 reference instead. —S331 (COM • Mission Log • Profile) 01:49, 14 December 2011 (EST)

The Ark's Destruction
Commander Spartacus, I reply to your statement to say that I do not understand how it is possible for a premature firing of halo ring could completely destroy a megastructure such as the Ark which is several times larger than a halo ring. I would like you to ask these questions to prove my point: 1. The Ark is larger than the Earth and is larger than some gas giants in our own solar system. If it is true that the premature firing of Installation 04B did destroy the Ark, would that make it true that a premature firing of a incomplete Halo in general would be capable of destroying whole planets or objects of the Arks magnitude in size 2. A halo's pulse in designed to fire a blast of supermassive neutrinos that are tuned to possess a harmonic frequency that would destroy the nervous system of any macroscopic animal. How would a blast such as this be capable of destroying a entire megastructure over 100,000 km in diameter. 3. Cortana's statement that the ring "did a number on the Ark" is a phrase that indicates that the Ark was damaged, not destroyed 4. 343 Guilty Spark statement may obviously prove your point, however, given the state he was at the time and the fact of the sudden realization his installation was about to be destroyed again, he may have said it to convince Sargent Johnson to not place the index and start the firing sequence. 5. During the short film Origins from Halo Legends, a part of it shows briefly Installation 00. If one looks carefully when paused, they may see the surface charred and with what appears to be firestorms spreading along its arms. This may indicate that the Ark was moderately damaged, but not destroyed. If fates could remain unknown or uncertain, however, there is nothing that actually show the Ark remains or it being destroyed nor does anything specifically show the Ark damaged but intact. Well this is my reply to your statement, I stand for what I think is true as so do you. I will not change anymore pages, unless this evidence show that the Ark did survive. Thank you P.S. I am the person who wishes to know why the Ark said to have been destroyed.—This unsigned comment was made by OmegaWolf (talk • contribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
- Here are your answers. I will start of with this. Four sources have confirmed that the firing of the incomplete ring destroyed the Ark. That is a fact.
- 1.If the firing and destruction of the ring destroyed the Ark, it is reasonable to think it could destroy planetary objects at or near the same size.
- 2.It was not the firing of the ring that destroyed the Ark, it was the ring shaking itself apart and the debris from it that destroyed the Ark.
- 3.Most people interpret Cortana's statement as proof that the Ark was destroyed.
- 4.Sergeant Johnson told Spark to deal with it. Spark killed him because he didn't want another one of his installations to be destroyed. He also did not want the Ark to be destroyed. He was in rampancy, but he still was enough normal to know what a firing of an unfinished ring would do if fired within close proximity to the Ark.
- 5.We don't even know at what time the film of the Ark in origins is. For all we know, it could be before the ring fired. The fires on the surface have an easy explanation: They could simply be the remains of the ships from the Prophet of Truth's fleet.
- I finally leave you with the fact that there is no source that states the Ark was not destroyed, while we have many sources that state the Ark was destroyed. Furthermore, the reasons your edits were reverted was because they contradicted previously established canon. For all we knew, you were inserting false information, which is a bannable offense. I am glad that you decided to respond to me, but please do not continue to add to the relevant articles that the Ark was only damaged, when we have so many sources statiing otherwise.
