Template:Ratings The ONI Ordnance Testing Facility B5D is an Office of Naval Intelligence installation in the Swanbourne, Perth district of Western Australia. They designed and tested the Scout variant and the Recon variant for the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor used by the SPARTAN-IIs.[1]
Trivia
- Facility B5D is also the name of a Bungie.net group and separate forum. The group is based around the Recon armor permutation, but participates and organizes other events not about Recon.
- It is possible that this facility is a subtle reference to the Australian Special Air Service Regiment, an elite group dedicated to reconnaissance and counterterror operations.
