Laser-cutter

Laser-Cutters are tools used by the Covenant to cut materials. They utilize high-power lasers that can cut through almost anything. The Kig-Yar aboard the Minor Transgression use laser-cutters to disconnect the Luminary from the ship's main power grid, which was heretical. As (almost) demonstrated by Zhar, a laser-cutter can be used as a deadly weapon if the need arises. It could easily cut through armor and skin.
