On Normal

Beating Floodgate's metagame on Normal is simple enough with every skull except Iron and Blind activated, but like the article says, be careful of your Elite allies accidentally sticking you with the Catch skull on. Even in you let them go first against most Flood encounters, you should be able to use the BR to pick off a lot of Flood at range. Regenerators are your best friend here, especially going up against Ranged Forms or if you're being shot by Flood while the Elites are chuckin' 'nades. Your best bet, weapon-wise, is to stick to your starting weapons: take out Flood from a distance with your BR, and when they charge you, soften them up with the AR before the all-important shield-recharging melee that will break them apart. Stick to these until you encounter the Elites; there is an Energy Sword above where the Arbiter and Major have their little pow-wow that is unaffected by the Famine Skull's halving trait; ditch your AR for it and slice 'em up. Speed is also of the essence: skip cutscenes and keep running forward through moments to ensure you get at least the x2 time multiplier, although it should be feasible to get the x2.5 if you don't spent too much time dying. Never jump back to last save; that's just wasting time, and at the end of the level, those precious seconds suddenly may look like gold for the extra 50%. Good luck.
