THE REAPER
Template:Covenant Rank Infobox
The Reaper is a title bestowed on an elite who has killed 500 enemies in battle. He is then sent on seemingly suicide missions, on the basis that he will survive. After 5 of these, he has achieved great honor, and can die without shame. If he does not complete 5 suicide missions and dies, his clan and entire family will be banished or killed.
Weapons and equipment
The Reaper uses a variety of weapons in combat. He always has a melee weapon on had, in case of close combat. If a battle requires an assassin, he will use an energy sword. If battle includes vehicles, then he may use a gravity hammer or an energy stave. He always carries grenades such as the plasma, fire, and spike grenades for when combat becomes more chaotic. Active Camo us used frequently on stealth operations.
Troops
When in combat, The Reaper will lead various specialist troops into battle. He is usually flanked by stealth elites, and brute stalkers. On some missions, he will lead hunters, rangers, or even jump pack brutes. By choosing his squad, the Reaper will always have an advantage in battle.

Strategies:
Against Drones
- Automatic weapons are the best.
Against Grunts
- Anything. Except Grenades.
- Alternatively, use precision weapons like the Battle rifle, Covenant Carbine, or DMR to headshot the Grunt. (Save the Needle rifle for bigger threats, like the Brutes.) This takes practice, but it definitely worths the time. By using precision weapons, you save not only time and your precision weapon's ammo, but also ammo for your automatic weapon to drain Elite/Brute's energy shields. Hope this helps. —S331 (COM • Mission Log • Profile) 06:49, 7 December 2011 (EST)
Against Elites
- Against Elites, GO ALL OUT. Like with brutes, don't hold back. Be precise, but don't waste time getting head-shots. A kill is a kill. A hit is a hit. Be tactical. Don't give up an opportunity just so you can get a head-shot. Savor your kills. Be a little bit impulsive. That randomness can throw off an A.I. and allow you to kill them.
Against Brutes
- Use Plasma weapons to drain the Brutes shield, but don't let it overheat. It could go beserk and kill you while the weapon is recharging.
- In Halo 2 and Halo: Reach, Brutes are very tough. Use precision weapons only when you are confident enough to know you can land every shot on their head. Use the Needle rifle if you can't do headshots, since 3 shots on their body will result in explosion. In Halo 2, dual-wield Needlers. Projectiles weapons are okay, and Plasma weapons are not recommended. In Halo 2, the best place to aim the energy sword at when slashing them is (rather humorously) their hips. No kidding. Weird. —S331 (COM • Mission Log • Profile) 23:54, 7 December 2011 (EST)
Against Jackals
- Use long range weapons to score headshots. Try not to waste ammo on breaking their shields.
- If in close range, use an overcharged plasma pistol to take out the shields.
Against Engineers
A Sniper Rifle Is the BEST
Against Skirmishers
Against Hunters
- Try to hit the exposed area in the Hunter's back, joints, or neck. This will reasult in more damage, and will make the firefight be less dangerous.
- Also, snipe from afar and shoot when the Hunter is charging its cannon. This can stun the creature and prevent it from shooting. This could save your life.
Legendary In General
- Be Careful. Don't rush straight into battle. Take time. The longer it takes to line up a head-shot means the longer you will live.
- Use weapons whenever you can. Don't be obsessed with using a rocket on only a hunter. Use it on anything. If you don't do this, you could die and lose the rocket-launcher.
