The UNSC Monte Cassino is a UNSC ship of unknown classification in service with the UNSC Navy after the Human-Covenant War.[1]

Background

In January 2553, the UNSC Ariadne experienced complications and was forced to drop out of slipspace near Venezia. Having recieved no help from the colony, Ariadne sent a message to Earth asking for help. Two days later Monte Cassino had arrived to evacuate the ship's nonessential crew, perhaps help in abandoning the Ariadne all together.

Trivia

Monte Cassino is a location in southern Italy, and was the sight of a famous World War II battle.
