DELETE - Do people really need to know what betraying is?--Fragg3d 03:31, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I play Halo just to kill my own teammates. I suggest this article be expanded.

No, people do not really need to know what betraying is. But people don't need to know what Gilgamesh is either, so should we delete that? Actually, people don't even need to know what Halo 3 is--should we delete that? Not needing to know it is no reason to delete it--all-inclusiveness FTW!!! --GPT(talk)(eating) 10:25, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

People might wish to know what can cause a betrayal, what settings can affect betrayals, etc. (e.g. I didn't know that a kill doesn't count as a betrayal if an enemy does most of the damage, and this article helped me find that out. I also didn't know that tidbit about getting killed by your own needles counting as a betrayal.)

Can anyone explain why some players can't be booted? It's rediculus. For example, I get betrayed over and over by the same guy, and the boot option isn't there. When I go to kill the guy, I get booted, while he stays in the game, seemingly invincible to Bungie's booting system. Is it something to do with the guy being a host, because thats stupid. The host would be able to betray people left and right, with no limits. He should still get booted regardless. If it's a glitch, Bungie should fix it.

Boot Vote

Halo needs a boot vote during matchmaking. If a player is intentionally griefing, players should have the option to select the griefer from the menu and vote for them to be booted, and then other players can choose whether or not to boot them. Of course, to prevent griefers from taking advantage of this and booting everyone else, a player must have something on their record, like a betrayal. This way, if the current boot system fails, players can manually boot the offender. Bioniclepluslotr 23:27, 3 August 2011 (EDT)
