Transcript
{From first-person view: A presumed SPARTAN stares into the visor of his helmet, before pulling it on}
{Zoom out to the Warthog the SPARTAN is riding in, on the surface of Reach, towards an outpost/camp, and two tiltrotor aircraft sing in above the Warthog}
{Both aircraft land in the camp/outpost, and the Warthog pulls to a stop. The unidentified SPARTAN gets out of the Warthog, and moves towards a building. A SPARTAN sniper watches him while placing rounds into a magazine. The unidentified SPARTAN reaches the door, and stares at a Grenadier SPARTAN sharpening a combat knife against his shoulder pauldron, and attempts to enter, before another SPARTAN wearing blue armor and a cybernetic arm stops him }
Kat-320: Commander.
{The SPARTAN Commander, without his helmet, looks up, and Jorge-052, in full gear, turns to look at the unidentified SPARTAN, who takes several steps inside the building}
Radio: Winter Contingency has been declared, all units are mobilized and ready.
Jorge-052: Didn't think anybody survived Pegasi, Sir.
Carter-259: SPARTANs never die, Jorge, they're just Missing in Action.
{The SPARTAN Commander starts walking towards the door and puts his helmet on, and all the SPARTANs turn to exit the building}
{Cut to the SPARTANs exiting the building, with the unidentified SPARTAN next to the SPARTAN Commander, with Kat-320, Unidentified Grenadier Spartan (who sheathes his knife) and Jorge-052 walking side by side in front of them, towards the aircraft}
Carter-259: I read your file, Lieutenant, even the parts ONI didn't want me to.
{The SPARTANs reach the aircraft, with the other three moving to one off screen, and the unidentified SPARTAN and the SPARTAN Commander getting into the one guarded by the Unidentified Spartan Sniper}
Carter-259: I'm glad to have your skill set, but you can leave that lone-wolf stuff behind.
Unidentified Sniper (Noble Team): This our new number six?
Carter-259: Affirmative.
Unidentified Sniper (Noble Team): You picked a hell of a day to join up!
{Carter signals for the aircraft to get airborne and the aircraft take off, moving into the horizon}
Kat-320: This is Sierra three-two-zero. Noble team is airborne and prepped for combat insertion.
{As the aircraft move into the distance, a colossal Plasma explosion erupts from the sky, and a CCS-class Battlecruiser looms in the clouds overhead. A static charge flies across the sky, and the scene whites out, showing the Halo: Reach logo. Cut to a dark room, with human blood on the floor, illuminated by an Energy Sword activating. There is a growl, then the camera turns towards an Elite, which roars at the screen. Bungie and Microsoft logos appear with Reach in the background.}
Trivia
- There is an inconsistency between this trailer and the Halo: Reach E3 2009 Trailer. In the E3 trailer, directly after a UNSC operator says "Winter contingency has been declared. All units are mobilized and ready." Kat-320 says, "This is Sierra three-two-zero, prepped for combat insertion." While in the VGA trailer it takes her nearly 45 seconds after the UNSC operator speaks for her to say it.
- Kat-320 actually says a similar phrase, " This is Sierra three-two-zero. Noble team is airborne and prepped for combat insertion."
