EMP

EMP stands for Electro-Magnetic Pulse. EMPs are used for confusing radar signals and jamming communications, as well as knocking out unprotected electrical equipment.
Appearances
EMP-style weaponry is used a few times in the Halo universe. The Power Drain equipment in Halo 3 uses it, and the Fury Tactical Nuclear Weapon creates an EMP burst when detonated.
