Brownies may contain nuts, particularly walnuts and sometimes almonds. Brownies sometimes have an icing; usually chocolate, but popular flavors include either vanilla or mint extract.And if you can get the cooling and heating right,you can have partially or completely melted carmel inside the brownie.

Brownies are consumed by humans, and were served for dessert to the young Spartan-II's on the first day of boot camp.
