Soell system

Soell is the informal name for the star that Threshold, Basis and Alpha Halo orbit.
As of 2007 the star has not been named in any canon sources, but the name Soell was used by Bungie during Halo's developmentTemplate:Fact. The name is generally assumed to be a reference to former Bungie Community Guy Matt Soell.
The star's location in the galaxy is unknown. Prior to Halo's release, some speculated that it was actually Iota HorologiiTemplate:Fact, based on hints from Bungie that that star was connected to the game somehowTemplate:Fact; but this is improbable, due to that star's closeness to EarthTemplate:Fact.
