Mendicant

The term Mendicant (Latin mendicans, begging) refers to begging or relying on charitable donations, and is most widely used for religious followers or ascetics who rely exclusively on charity to survive. The idea has gone back many years, both in Human and Sangheili ideaology.
Some of these Elites still follow Mendicant traditions very loosely, such as reciting ritual mediations while in combat, hoping for good fortune. Voro 'Nar Mantakree was one such Elite[1].

- Ironically, some SPARTAN-IIs have similar casual adherence to the ideaologies of Zen.
