SPARTAN

SPARTANs are among the most skilled and disciplined soldiers available to the UNSC. They take part in intense training at an early age, with the later two programs adding enhancing MJOLNIR and camoflage armor, making them extremely skilled in combat.

UNSC Marine Corps

Marines can be part of the UNSC contingent of Naval Special Warfare, specializing in covert operations, assassinations, and conducting high-priority high-risk operations against enemy forces. While ODST's are also a Marine special forces branch, their specialties differ, instead focusing on mobility and insertion.

Orbital Drop Shock Troopers

The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers are an important part of any UNSC invasion force. Disciplined and skilled, they drop into the most hostile areas. They attempt to complete some of the most difficult tasks in hostile areas, such as clearing enemy ground forces or establishing a landing zone for incoming Pelicans.

Special Special Forces

The Special Special Forces, or S.S.F. as a social acronym is an extremely classified branch of the UNSC Special Forces. The fact that the soldier, James James was a former member, as well as a Spartan-I, makes it likely that the S.S.F. is related to the ORION Project.
