Binoculars

Binoculars are a magnifying device universally used by the UNSC. Around 2552, the UNSC standard issue binoculars were Type 10 3x scope Binoculars. They're often equipped with a stand to keep the device steady.

Use

A marine sniper team with binoculars.

Binoculars are generally used to observe the battlefield, gather data and locate enemies. Marine sniper teams have spotters with binoculars to observe and locate targets for the sniper. The UNSC binoculars have a digital display, which shows the temperature, the distance to the target.

MJOLNIR

MJOLNIR Mk VI is the first armor known to have built-in Binocular system. The armor's binoculars are a 3-4x scope set, linked to the helmet's visor. Combined with the enhanced sight of the Spartans, the device enables the user to see over a mile away. They also have an advanced anti-reflective system.

• The binoculars frequently appear in Halo 2.

• The Binoculars featured in Halo 3 have the same radius as the ones in Halo 2. The only difference is that it shows distance and height.

• The Elite Combat Harness also has a binocular system.
