Introduction

The Missle Pod is a missile-launching weapon. It can hold up to 8 missiles. Template:WepList

Operation

It is a rocket/missile launcher type weapon and can only carry 8 rounds.

Once picked up the player will appear in third person view. Due to the weapon's weight, the wielder will run at a slower pace. Also, it is said to fairly harder to aim while in this mode.

The rounds are capable of tracking targets. This ability is similar to the SPNKR Rocket Launcher of Halo 2. Bungie has stated that the rocket shells of the SPNKR will no longer have the ability to track targets.

Trivia

• This is one of two current "fifth-person view" weapons. The other is the Machinegun Turret. This is a revolution for video games since the previous best person view was 3rd. 5th person view is absolutely amazing. I participated in a beta test so I should know.
• The Missile Pod could possibly be the M19-B SAM Missile Launcher that was used by Alpha Company and Beta Company. It was also used by the Swat members in the movie Swat to knock down walls of a house. It was successful in that attempt. So they decided to market it to Halo 3.
