Imperial Admiral is a Covenant Sangheili (Elite) rank.
Summary
The Imperial Admiral[1] is within the Elite ranks, and is extremely high in the Covenant. This rank is given to Elites to control large fleets and armadas. It could be compared to a UNSC Navy Fleet Admiral. Usually an Imperial Admiral operates on a high ranking ship (Covenant Flagship) such as an Assault Carrier, Supercarrier, or other powerful capital ships within the Covenant armada. They seem to be higher ranked than a Zealot, but this is unknown. It may also be possible that there has only ever been one Imperial Admiral (see below). In the Covenant of Halopedia the ran of Imperial Admiral is attainable and is stated as the highest rank apart from the council. The userbox for Imperial Admiral states that this user is the Imperial Admiral of Halopedia. The word "the" may suggest that there is only one Imperial Admiral in the Covenant fleet.
