BLACK WIDOW communications satellite

The BLACK WIDOW Communications Satellite is a type of mobile satellite carried by UNSC Prowlers, to establish a makeshift communications array in contested territory, facilitating unit coordination and communication for a UNSC Battle Group. The size of a basketball and designed for stealth, BLACK WIDOWs can be deployed easily, used to transfer electronic data, including text files, audio files, and potentially an AI. In order to eliminate all emissions, when a Prowler is in stealth mode, the satellites are put through thermal cool down cycles before being released. This is mainly executed in hostile territory.
