Military Forces
Military Forces that were in the war included . United Nations Space Command . United Nations Marine core . they did not have Spartans at this time . the only Special Forces they had were the ODSTs . HIGHCOM was a Major help in this war . they Approved Attacks on Rebel bases and Sent reinforcements when needed .
Timeline

Armed conflict ripped through South America, as Koslovic, Frieden and UN forces clashed over ideological differences, sparking additional conflicts off-planet, such as the Argyre Planitia Campaign. This war brought a great deal of suffering to the people of Earth, and caused famine for a great deal of people.
2170
In the post-war period, there were massive population surges, resulting in overpopulation. Coupled with the destruction and famine bred by the Rain Forest Wars, the economy threatened to destabilize.
A Soldier's Tale: Rainforest Wars was written about this event. This book is a favorite of CPO Franklin Mendez, and described as a "military classic" in Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. [2]
