Jay Weinland

Template:RealworldTemplate:Bstaff Jay Weinland is a senior employee of Bungie Studios and head of the sound department. He studied at Oberlin College and Conservatory for five years and then went on to teach as a high school orchestra teacher for another five years. He has been in the video game industry since at least 1996. He is a major aficionado of science fiction novels, sports, brass instruments, and beer- with beef jerky.
He is married to Seattle actress Heather Hawkins, and has two children, Duncan and Tessa.
He was credited as sound designer for Halo: Combat Evolved. He then served as sound lead for Halo 2. He works at Bungie still, and likely worked Halo 3.
