Chieftain

Chieftain is a high rank in the Brute caste system. The only known holder of this title was Tartarus. It is unknown if this rank holds any signifigante influence in the High Council. The Cheiftain does, however, speak for the Brutes to both the High Council and the High Prophets.

A possible new Cheiftan was also spotted in the new Halo 3 trailer which aired on ESPN. Some speculate that this is Tartarus' replacement.
