Overview

Design details

Main article: MLRS-2 Hydra

The Pursuit variant of the Hydra MLRS has increased increased long-range effectiveness than the standard MLRS-2 variant, thanks to the use of more advanced gyroscopically-stabilised rockets with reduced velocity. The weapon's targeting software is also quicker to lock-on to enemies and from further away.[3] It has additional yellow coloration on certain components.[5]

Usage

The Pursuit Hydra was employed by UNSC forces during the campaign on Installation 07 in 2559-2560.[2]

In-game information

In campaign, the Pursuit Hydra is a legendary weapon awarded to the player in the Forward Operating Base progression system upon reaching 3,000 Valor. The weapon can be acquired at any Forward Operating Base. It locks onto targets faster and from a further distance. The weapon fires projectiles at reduced velocities, making it more effective at longer ranges.[2]
