Ghostpierce is a bespoke (customized) fireblade, employed as the signature weapon of the Banished Sangheili Blademaster Jega 'Rdomnai.
Service history
It began as an untested bloodblade during 'Rdomnai's service in the Covenant's Silent Shadow during the Human-Covenant War. During a high-priority hunt for a pair of Spartan-III headhunters, 'Rdomnai was severely wounded by an explosion. However, rather than dying a warrior's death as Sangheili honor dictated, 'Rdomnai clung to life and rebuilt himself using forbidden cybernetics. With his body restored, the Sangheili assassin made sure that the remnants of his bloodblade underwent the same transformation as he did. He brought the surviving hilt to the artisan armorers of Cherras Keep who reforged it as Ghostpierce. The weapon was then mounted onto 'Rdomnai's robotic arm, ensuring the blade and its owner remained inseparable.[1]
While serving in the Banished, 'Rdomnai used Ghostpierce along with a normal bloodblade. During the Battle for Zeta Halo, 'Rdomnai held Ghostpierce to Tremonius' throat when the latter argued with War Chief Escharum over the sudden reappearance of Master Chief John-117.[2] Later, when the Master Chief defeated 'Rdomnai inside the House of Reckoning, the Blademaster - along with Ghostpierce - seemingly vanished.[3]
