The Exodus Guard are a Banished clan that Captain Balkarus's pack are prominent members of, serving as part of Atriox and Decimus' force on the Ark.[1][2]
History
The Ark
During the Second Ark Conflict, Balkarus sent a message to all his Unggoy forces that the growing rumor of a Spartan-II killing their leaders and freeing their prisoners was false, blaming it on a negligent Unggoy, to stop them from deserting due to fear.[3] He would later send another message to his pack brothers in the Exodus Guard to stop throwing Unggoy at a local shield barrier for sport, as it was wasting resources.[2] Jato 'Ratum participated in a mining expedition with other forces from the Exodus Guard, finding himself as the sole survivor from an explosion.[4]
Zeta Halo
In November of 2559, Balkarus, Jato 'Ratum, Horatius, and others from Exodus Guard were chosen by Atriox to accompany him back to the Milky Way through the portal that had been opened on Reach.[5][6] They later accompanied Atriox to Zeta Halo where they participated in the Battle for Zeta Halo.[7]
During the battle, both Balkarus and Horatius were killed by the Master Chief.
