Longbow is a symmetrical Halo 4 multiplayer map.
Universe and lore
- Main article: Concord
Longbow's setting is a human mass driver station, located in the northern polar region of Concord.[2]
Overview
Layout
It is a symmetrical map with a five-base layout (two starting bases at the ends of the map, two secondary bases directly in front of them, and a middle base overlooking nearly the whole map in the center) with paths leading between them through and around rocks. It offers a good mix of both close and long range combat, with long sight lines between the bases and cramped areas in the caves and inside the bases themselves.

Production notes
- 343i considered making the map with a big Arecibo-type telescope into a valley. It had also been experimented with extreme amounts of fire, and ice on opposite sides of the map.[2]
- During the early blockout stages, it was called Gore Valley.
Trivia
- The mass drivers fire once every minute.
- Longbow, along with Haven, was made by 343 Industries rather than Certain Affinity.
- Longbow was the inspiration for the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer map Recurve.
