The Rohakadu-pattern Pistol, also known as the Plasma Pistol, is a plasma based firearm contracted by the Banished for use in armed combat.
Overview
Manufactured by Iruiru Armory, the Rohakadu-pattern plasma pistol is a Banished Directed-energy weapon. The Rohakadu-pattern was designed and commissioned per Let 'Volir's requests under a shadow contract. The pattern bares heavy similarities to the Zo'klada-pattern utilized by many post-Covenant factions, and respects the former's design in functionality too. Although, with slight improvements to durability and native-link compatibility.
Gameplay
Changes from Halo 5: Guardians to Halo Infinite
- Like the Type-25 plasma pistol from Halo 2, it cannot disable vehicles.
- It retains the classic hum sound from Halo: Combat Evolved to Halo: Reach.
- The firing sound is now reminiscent to the Type-25 plasma pistol’s firing sound from the Bungie titles.
- It is capable of being vented, but firing rapidly or using the alt-fire mode will still overheat it.
- Plasma ammunition crates and Plasma Pistols on weapon racks or the battlefield refill its battery without the need to pick up a fresh one.
- While it’s almost visually identical to the Halo 5: Guardians version, the organic carapace has been streamlined as discussed in The Art of Halo Infinite. Additionally, the markings on the weapon are now green as opposed to blue, matching the plasma projectiles.
