Sharpfin-class escort corvette

The Sharpfin-class escort corvette is a human-made corvette that was popular with both space pirates and commercial escort services a century before the Human-Covenant War. They were primarily used to guard colonial supply convoys. By modern standards, however, these compact vessels were under-armed and slow, which is why they were rarely used even for routine tasks like planetary customs patrols.[1]

Operational History
In 2526, on the planet, Netherop, John-117 brokered a deal with the leaders of the Castoffs, Samson and Roselle. In exchange for the the Castoffs' cooperation and assistance in dealing with the Covenant forces on the planet, the UNSC would provide them with one of these corvettes as well as a ride to a planet of their choosing.[1]
