• Type-29 Scarab - The largest model with the most powerful focus cannon, known as the Super Scarab.
• Type-36 Scarab - A model with similar armament to the Type-27 Mantis.
• Type-47 Scarab - The most commonly fielded model.
  • Type-47A 'Protos' Scarab - A model of the Scarab specialized for artifact-retrieval.
  • Type-47B 'Deutoros' Scarab - The most common Type-47 Scarab.

Trivia

Like all known Excavators, the Scarab is named after an insect rather than a supernatural entity like most Covenant vehicles. Though these insects do have significant supernatural relevance, with Scarabs being a part of Egyptian mythology.
