China is a cultural region, ancient civilization, and a large nation in East Asia. The capital of China is Beijing.
China is one of Earth's oldest civilizations, consisting of states and cultures dating back more than six millennia. It has the world's longest continuously used written language system, and has been the source of some of the world's great inventions, including the Four Great Inventions of ancient China: paper, the compass, gunpowder, and printing.
By the 26th century, China remains one of Earth's major superpowers. China invested heavily in interstellar colonization during humanity's Colonial Era, starting many colonies which would later be integral to supplying the UNSC war effort. Despite this, the country remains overcrowded.[1]
In 2004, Dana Awbrey decided to flee there after an AI, the Operator, expressed a desire to kill her.[1][2]
