7 Charlie 40 was the call sign of a UNSC Army trooper from 7 Charlie who fought on Reach during the fall of the planet in August 2552. During the Siege of New Alexandria, the trooper's unit came under attack by Kig-Yar on top of the Mainz Träger Headquarters building; however, SPARTAN-B312 was able to assist him and his unit.[1]
