Michael "Mickey" Crespo (Serial Number:51033-15973-MC) was an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper in the UNSC Marine Corps.[1] He is the demolition expert for the Squad.
Biography
Mickey was born in 2530 in Crisium City in Naniwa, Luna, and signed up for UNSC service on June 4th, 2548. He was a pilot and then Crew Chief on a Pelican dropship for sometime before becoming an ODST with the rank of Private First Class. Somewhat unique among his squad brothers, he had never seen his homeworld destroyed by the Covenant. He served during the First Battle of Earth in 2552.[2] During the drop to New Mombasa, Mickey's drop pod was caught in the EMP from the Prophet of Regret's retreating Assault Carrier. It lost power and slammed into The Rookie's pod, cracking the window.
Trivia
- He is unlocked for use in Firefight by getting the Kizingo Boulevard achievement.
- Rumor has it that Mickey's beacon is the drop pod with a cracked window shield.
- He and the Rookie were born in the same city on Luna.
- Mickey fought in the First Battle of Earth on his 22nd birthday.
- According to his Career Service Vitae he enlisted more than four months before his 18th birthday. This means that for some reason, he was able to enlist despite being only 17 years old, possibly due to a need for more soldiers due to large casualties fighting the Covenant. However, it is also stated that Romeo and John Forge were able to enlist at age 16, the legal age limit for the UNSC.
- Mickey holds the lowest rank and was the last to enlist of all the members on the Squad.
- Mickey's pelican was hit by two banshees when Romeo and Buck were about to board it.
- In the latest Halo ODST Vidoc: Desperate Measures, it is said that Mickey has never seen a planet being glassed before.
