Bridge (structure)
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
There are multiple bridges that span across canyons on the Halo installations. There are different forms of bridges. Some are held up by unknown energy beams. Template:Ratings
Types of Bridges
- The bridges spanning across the canyons of Installation 04, as seen on the levels Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals in Halo CE.
- The bridge in the Halo CE multiplayer map Gephyrophobia.
- The Energy Bridge seen in Halo CE (Halo) and Halo 3 (The Ark) Campaigns are made of solid light.
- The bridge in the Halo 3 multiplayer map Narrows.
Causeways
- Causeways are bridges built by the Forerunners to span large canyons. They have so far been featured in the Halo 1 campaign levels Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals. The multiplayer levels Gephyrophobia and Narrows take place on top of causeways.
- Unlike the energy bridges on Halo, causeways appear to be made of metal. They are supported by light cables attached to each canyon's walls. They also have supports much like that of a Truss Arch Bridge.
- Causeways appear in a variety of designs. Most commonly, the causeway will have two levels. They have also been observed with one level or three levels. On Installation 04, the causeways featured two levels, with glass floors on both levels. The glass floors on the top level were breakable, allowing you to drop down to the bottom level of the causeway. The bottom level's glass floors featured impenetrable glass. There are also many nooks and crannies where enemies can hide and take cover.
