The following is how to make make floating objects, bases, etc in the Forge mode of Halo 3.

Floating Base

This glitch allows you to spawn floating objects in any Forge editable map.

1. Load a map into the Forge.(Such as Sandtrap)

2. Take a Radio Antenna or a Crate and stack them to your desired height.

3. Spawn a Receiving Teleporter and flip it so that the flat is facing up. Delete the towers, crates, etc.

4. Put anything you want on the Teleporter and it will float.

This can be used to makes floating bases, objects, etc in your map.

  • Excellent for sniper bases

Two people can work together to avoid the annoyance of stacking.

Player1 should spawn a large heavy object like a crate, and hold it in the air. Player2 should place the teleporter on the box. (If the object to be floated comes to a complete stop in any location, it may spawn from that location. A solid tower to the ground is not necessary. If one player holds an object still, an object falling on it may come to a complete stop, and can be spawned in the air.)

This glitch can also create falling objects. You must place the object to fall on something heavier than itself. An upside down tank is best for things such as warthogs and drop pods.

Note: Teleporters are not the only object that can be used in the float glitch. Weapon holders, powerups and machinegun turrets can be used as well. Note: One user has found that Sending Teleporters can be used in very tall stacks to make the stack less wobbly.

Falling Fusion Coils

If you want your map to look like it's being bombed, use the method above. When you reach you height, Place a Fusion Core on top then delete the tower. Once the match starts, you will have Fusion Cores falling from the sky. Note- You can also set your respawn time to 10 or 0 seconds.(set run-time minimum and maximum to max setting to do this) There is a much eaiser method however. It requires two people. Player 1 makes a sniper rifle and takes it. Player 2 flies up as high as he or she can, and makes a fusion coil. P2 then presses 'x' to go to the summary screen, then 'x' again to go to the advanced screen. He or she then sets all of the numbers to the highest they will go. P2 then drops the coil, and Player 1 shoots it. Whever the coil explodes is where it will fall from. Every time the fusion coil explodes, a new one is formed. P.S. - This will eat your budget alive.

This can be done by yourself too. Grab a sniper rifle and go into editor mode. Then spawn the fusion coil and grab it. Rise to your desired height and level yourself so that the coil is right in front and level with you. Go back to normal and sniper the coil before it falls, and it will spawn where it exploded.
