This is RelentlessRecusant, and I am nominating Guesty-Persony-Thingy for administrative status here at Halopedia. He is an exemplary user that joined in December 2006, and has done significant work with templates and other HTML coding here at Halopedia, as well as aiding members and being a leader in the Halo 2 Halopedia Xbox Live clan. I support his administrative status, as he has personally spoken to me about making MediaWiki changes to Halopedia regarding Javascript edit counter script functions, changes that will greatly convenience users and are only possible with his sysop status.

What is the point of this, the same thing that happened to RR is going to happen to GPT. Most will support him, however Ryan will whine about not being an admin himself, and the current admins will object to anyone that might "steal" away a fraction of their "power". Which is complete BS, but moving on... Then even though the only ones against it will be the admins and ryan, nothing will happen. That was some time ago that RR requested admin and most supported him(except admin & ryan), and months later, still nothing. It's pointless, until some major changes are made around here, there's no point to this, as nothing will done.
- Ryan was not whining about not being an admin, he was pointing out that by RR's rational he would be better suited to being an admin than RR himself. I was the only admin that came close to "objecting about him stealing away power" when I argued that RR may try to use the social influence that comes with being an admin in a negative way, and we mostly focused on RR's character. Unlike the case with RR, I see no reason to doubt GPT. (Sorry, to bring this up again, RR. Just want to clarify. Seek, Behold, Reveal, you know.) --Dragonclaws(talk) 09:15, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Unless you were not paying attention, Donut THX 1138, the users who did not support RelentlessRecusant raised valid concerns as to why they did not support him, while the users who supported him offered no reasoning, except "sure, why not" and the concerns were never answered by either him or those who supported him. If you'd like to answer any of those concerns, feel free to bring it back. Maybe you haven't heard, but wikis are not democracies. --ED(talk)(gaming) 00:51, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, the only reason I'd actually want to be an admin is just for technical behind-the-scenes work. Most of the stuff I do here is standardization; see my work on the Cairo Station location articles, all the separate Elite Rank articles, the Covenant species articles with Template:Covenant.... The only big thing I'd use sysop access for is deleting completely unused things and duplicates that I am completely sure can go and and deleting incorrectly named images to reupload them to comply with a naming format I am going to decide on in a while and add to the Manual of Style. Most of my edits aren't things that directly affect what an article looks like or anything like that, but I just make the place look nice; I do the closest thing here to literal cleanup that there can be. That's all I would use my privileges for, unless there's a vandal to deal with or an argument to settle or anything. I'm not looking for status in the community; I just want to be able to expand my horizons as the local janitor. That is why I feel I should be a sysop. Güéߣ¥-∏éҐ∫øñ¥-†ħîИg¥ 04:42, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
