Talk:Camp Independence

Perhaps, but bolted-down guass cannons are not easily obtained and set up. And though the table was fold-out, that isn't something you come by magically, especially considering the utter destruction of HIGHCOM. My opinion is that this is one of several fall back positions, and that it was overlooked as a true option because no one really thought the Covenant would attack Reach.
Independence
It says in the book, that the 1 group of spartans and the admiral were in that area, and it was a sort of cave, with a quick set up base. The admiral said "Welcome to camp independence. The service aint 5 star, but its home" or something like that. Why would they make a fallback point that 'isn't much'? especially if it was for the command staff. It wouldnt be too easy to defend, either. And i think that the spartans would be able to carry gauss guns. Because they were sent out from the generator complex, and there were warthog turrets (or something similar) there probably would have been gauss guns that they could carry with them when that group was send to rescue the admiral. --Keyes 21:23, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
