Era icons

Hey Manticore. I noticed on some pages that the era icons are not working. An example is Brute Shot. Can you fix that?--Spartan-781 Seaman.png CommCSV 07:24, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

RE: AfD

Hey Manticore,

Absolutely, i'll remember that next time I put a deletion template up on an unneeded page.

Have a good day!

Ok...now i'm ticked.

What is your problem? Is it your goal in life to ruin my time on Halopedia? There are userpages that give more information than mine did. I'm just saying, other people editing MY userpage doesn't exactly go over well with me. Armored One 15:30, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

can i?

Can I mass a bunch of facts about a few levels in halo CE together rather than go to each page individualy, and if so how? L337 21:10, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

question

hey Manticore. I was wondering how many votes do you need for the rfa? Ryan has like 28 if you don't count the votes neutral and against. ty. Spartan-010:Stryker My Comm My Battles File:LTBar.png 10:27, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

oh okay. ty. I was wonderng since his rfa has been going on for a while. Spartan-010:Stryker My Comm My Battles File:LTBar.png 14:10, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

delete RR's accidentally created skin pages

Er....can you delete User:RelentlessRecusant/Quartzslate.css and User:RelentlessRecusant/quartzcustom.css? He moved the former to the latter, then moved it again to its present location. These tow pages are now redirects. They are useless, and can you delete them?--Spartan-781 Seaman.png CommCSV 02:23, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Done, but quite frankly I don't see how these could bother anyone. Besides, you should have asked Relentless. -- Manticore Manticore is a Halopedia administrator. Talk | Contributions 13:36, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

The Suffering

Are you a fan of the Suffering video game series? Coz if you are, I've found a wiki for it.

Delete this page please...

Hi Manticore! Recently, I discovered that an IP made a page called Dildo. It is an inappropriate page and has nothing to do with the Halo Universe or the Halo games itself. Can you please delete it. Thanks. Template:Signatures/Emosworld 07:47, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

No problem. I think it was some teenage IP vandal. Emosworld 20:50, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

About The UNSC Commissioned Officer Ranks

I read your message on my talk page a little too late and had already reverted some of the edits back to mine.

I suppose I can see your point, in some sense, however most of the info already listed mimics what's listed on regular wiki.

Also, I'm not sure where at, but in Halo: First Strike I think it does mention a Captain (Marine or Army) as a company commander. Assuming I remember correctly, it not only confirms the rank's existence in the Halo universe but also confirms a Captain as a company commander.

Anyways, thank you for challenging my intellect. Idolo 13:10, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Do you have Halo 3 Legendary Edition?

If so, I'll give further instructions. I don't want to spoil you. Until next time, respect them Grunts. This is Møuse, squeaking out! 21:57, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Halo 3 Edit Contest

Hey, just to let you know, the contest ends TOMORROW, and you are currently disqualified! To enter yourself into the contest, go HERE and write out all of the edits you have made to Halo 3-related articles! See this page for an example. Hope to see a page there by tomorrow! --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 00:33, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I just told them the truth... what else do you want me to say instead? "The contest ends in a year so you have all the time you want"? --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 04:57, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
But Angies is doing the drawing as soon as the contest closes, so that's when they should have their edits in. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 07:47, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Ruling Template

Hey Manticore. I was trying to solve a problem with the template but without avail. Here's what I want to do: Remove the editsection thingy([edit]) when it appears on the FAC page, because when I click those edit section links to add my opinions, it usually directs me to another section, and now I know why. So I want to disable those edit section links ONLY for the section headers of the images(== (image name) ==). Is there any way to do that?--Spartan-781 Seaman.png CommCSV 06:54, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Another thing: Is there a way to, like, "open"(<>) and "close"(</>) a noeditsection?

Kinda tellin' you both... there isn't a way to do that, but we *could* just subst: the template when it's included on the FAC page. By doin' that, the sections are messed up anymore, and all is well. ^_^ And no, there isn't a way to do that. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 06:57, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

That's what NOEDITSECTION is for GPT. And no, there isn't a way to "open" or "close" it, unless you use another template inside it, which is too much hassle really. -- Manticore Manticore is a Halopedia administrator. Talk | Contributions 07:48, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I know what NOEDITSECTION is for. It just can't be used the way he wants to. Even using another template inside it can't do it--there is just no way whatsoever to do what he wants besides subst:'ing it. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 07:58, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes it can. I changed the template a while ago, go see for yourself. -- Manticore Manticore is a Halopedia administrator. Talk | Contributions 08:08, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Notice how NONE of the individual sections can be edited anymore. NOEDITSECTION always applies to the whole page, and there is no way whatsoever to "disable those edit section links ONLY for the section headers of the images(== (image name) ==)." You can apply it to the whole page, but not the way he wants it. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 09:02, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

The FAC preamble page

um, I see why you reverted my edit. It's fine. But what's the purpose of removing the Approved 1 and denied 2 pics?--Spartan-781 Seaman.png CommCSV 08:05, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Question

Is there a page for Halo 3 easter eggs? Because if so, then Master Chief's helmet (easter egg) should be merged there, correct? (if the easter egg is confirmed; I merely edited the article, not create it). --Squishy VicLegendary.jpg(talk) 08:57, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Ah, very well. Thanks for that. --Squishy VicLegendary.jpg(talk) 21:28, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

PS:Yeah, I have Limited, also.

List of UNSC Military Units

The page has been protected to stop the edit war (as is standard policy in this situation) that has been going on between CommanderTony and myself over the past few months. The two things in question are:

  1. Is the Twenty Second Tactical actually the 22nd ODST Battalion?
  2. Is the 7th ODST Battalion a subordinate unit of the 105th ODST Division?

CommanderTony has edited the article repeatedly to reflect that these two things are true, but as I have yet to see any sources conclusively proving them, I have reverted it each time. So neither of us will be able to touch the page until the issue is resolved by other users and admins. Please go to the talk page of the article and add your thoughts so it can be resolved more quickly. --EDFile:ArmyROTC.gif 22:58, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Elections

"You are permitted to vote for one user for each group you are a member of." If you only have one vote overall, why is there a "for" *AND* an "against" section? The point of having those sections is so that you vote on EVERY single nomination, but you vote either "for" or "against." If users only get one vote, get rid of the "against" section, please. --NOTASTAFF GPT(talk)(eating) 23:47, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

I think elections work best when people can vote for and against a candidate, but in this instance it's probably best to remove it to avoid confusion. -- Manticore Manticore is a Halopedia administrator. Talk | Contributions 15:12, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Master Chief

Main article: John-117

I made consistent and up to date revisions (with Halo 3) on Master Chief's article, and I wanted to know if everything I did was up to Halopedia's standards. Please let me know if there is anything wrong that I can fix. Thanks. --Squishy VicLegendary.jpg(talk) 00:15, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
