In Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, Commander Richard Lash is second in command of the UNSC Dusk. His XO, is Lieutenant Commander Julian Waters (Halo: Ghosts of Onyx page 186). Lieutenant Commander does not denote third in command, but third in command is sometimes held by Lieutenant Commanders.--Rotaretilbo 17:40, 05 December 2006
