Commander is a commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Navy, equal in rank to Lieutenant Colonel in the UNSC Marine Corps and in the UNSC Army
Commanders typically serve as the executive officer (XO) (second in command) of a UNSC Warship. However, they may also command a UNSC Warship, albeit a minor vessel, such as a UNSC Destroyer or Frigate.
