Template:Rank Infobox Commander is a senior commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Navy, equal in rank to Lieutenant Colonel in the UNSC Marine Corps.
Commanders typically serve as the executive officer (XO) (second in command) of a UNSC Warship. However, they may also command a UNSC Warship.
