I am an Admin here at Halopedia. I joined on October 10, 2005 as "Ed", but during Halopedia's transfer of domains in summer of 2006, I had to change that to "ED". I am a freshmen at the Ohio University Scripps school of Journalism, majoring in news editing.

ED's background with the military

So you see, RR and a bunch of other people give a testament to my knowledge of the intricacies of the US Military. To be frank: I'm not a nerd who just sits around studying up on this stuff. I have firsthand experience with the US military and hopefully, that will remain the case for a long time. Here are my qualifications:

2003 - 2005

I was a member of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFJROTC) Ohio 81^st Cadet Squadron for my first two years of High School. I took four courses in JROTC: Aerospace Science I, Aerospace Science II, Advanced Drill and Ceremonies, and Summer Leadership School. I was also a member of four JROTC marching teams: Inspected Drill Routine (IDR), Armed Inspected Drill Routine, Saber Team, and Honor Guard, as well as the Kitty Hawk Air Society.

My experiences in JROTC were amazing, and include two weeks of rigorous training at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, commanding an honor guard in presenting the colors during the national anthem of a Cincinnati Reds baseball game, and flying on missions in a C-141 Starifter of the 445^th Airlift Wing and a KC-135 Stratotanker of the 121^st Air Refueling Wing. There are countless others.

When I left JROTC, I had a total of sixty four awards, including four medals and twenty ribbons. My rank was cadet Chief Master Sergeant.

2007 - Present

I am enrolled in Army Reserve Officers Training Corps at Ohio University, the "Bobcat Battalion." I am currently in Military Science classes 101 and 110A, the first classes that MS-1 grade cadets can take.
