Overview

Design details

The Repair Field is a cylindrical device that includes various warnings and icons on its surface, including the caduceus representing its medical use.[3] It displays the logos for its manufacturer, the Watershed Division, alongside the icon for the similar Regenerator battlefield equipment and an icon of a skunk—likely to indicate its origins as a skunkworks prototype. The top of the equipment also includes warnings that a Forerunner emitter is contained inside the device.[1]

Like the aforementioned Regenerator and M2705 regeneration field, the Repair Field emits an aura that heals nearby infantry. However, the Repair Field can also repair damaged vehicles, in a manner similar to restoration drones or the Forerunners' own Spire of Healing.[2] The Repair Field can attach itself to many surfaces, including the armor of vehicles.[4]

Upon deployment, Repair Field module's four locks shift upwards, aligning the module's base to a surface. Once it is stabilized, the module is stuck to the deployed surface, and the four locks eject from the module, allowing the Forerunner emitter within the device to extend outwards. It then emits a green pulse, healing wounded creatures or repairing damaged vehicles.[1]

Gameplay

Halo Infinite

The Repair Field is a piece of equipment coming to Halo Infinite during Season 05: Reckoning.[3] Like Halo 3's Regenerator and Halo 4's Regeneration Field, the Repair Field emits a localized aura upon activation that heals players within its radius,[2][4] regardless of which team the players belong to. The Repair Field can also revive downed players in modes like Firefight: King of the Hill, Attrition, and more.[4] The Repair Field can also repair damaged vehicles,[2] likening it more to the Heal and Repair & restoration drones of Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2, respectively. Additionally, the Repair Field can be attached to vehicles and most surfaces within a map's environment.[4]
