Winter Update was an update for Halo Infinite's multiplayer and campaign. Functioning as an interim season, the Winter Update debuted on November 8, 2022, and ended on March 7, 2023 with the release of Season 03: Echoes Within.^[1]^[2]

Production notes

The Winter Update is also known as "Season 2001" on Halo Waypoint's service records, as it fell under Season 02's banner, and is considered an Event or Operation within the game's menu. The Winter Update would be properly reclassified as an Operation with Season 05: Reckoning, and subsequent Operations in Season 05, Content Update 29, and Content Update 32 would follow suit and fall under the banners of Season 5000, Season 6000, and Season 7000, respectively.
