Flood Research Facilities are areas on The Halos intended to study Flood organisms, likely to procure some viable type of defense against the Flood infection.
Some facilities in one of Installation 05's many mountain ranges has been revealed to contain what appears to be some kind of research facility for studying the Flood organism. There are many machines both large and small yet how to activate or use them is unknown. Lockout is a known Flood research facility.
