M19 missile
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
The M19 102mm high-explosive, shaped-charge surface-to-surface missile (M19 SSM) is a munition for the M41 SSR MAV/AW Rocket Launcher[1][2] and M39 rocket turret employed on the back of the M12A1 Rocket Warthog.[3]
Overview
The M19 SSM is a HEAT and plays the role of an anti-vehicular ordnance. It possesses a blast radius of 15 feet (4.6 m). As such, it is capable of penetrating the heavy armor of even the Wraith; lighter vehicles, such as the Ghost, are typically destroyed upon impact. The M19's blast radius is rather large, making the projectile effective against concentrated groups of infantry.[4]
Production notes
- The exact designation of the M19 missile has seen numerous changes throughout the franchise:
