The Sicatt Workshop Volt Caster[1] or Disruptor is an electricity-based weapon utilized by the Banished during the Installation 07 conflict.[2]
Overview
The Disruptor is a fast firing sidearm that is considered a "shock weapon". While the Disruptor is not a weapon used to drain enemy shields, it has a unique advantage against vehicles: it can disable them after seven shots — less than a magazine.
Instead of a traditional magazine, the disruptor uses a kind of "battery", which it uses to fire bolts of electricity from its muzzle, similar to the shock rifle. The Disruptor was manufactured by the Armory of Reckoning and developed by the Sicatt workshop.[1]
Gameplay
Halo Infinite
The Disruptor is a semi-automatic pistol that deals shock damage like the Dynamo grenades and the Shock rifle. Although the individual rounds deal a little damage to a target, 3 shots to the same target initiates a DOT effect that drains shields first before it drains health. In campaign, the Disruptor is wielded by high ranking Unggoy, Kig-Yar, and used as a backup weapon for Jiralhanae Snipers. In multiplayer, the Disruptor is capable of killing an enemy Spartan in 6 shots.
Variants
- Calcine Disrupter: An improved version of the Disruptor with a decreased magazine capactiy from 10 to 7. Unlike the normal Disruptor, the Calcine can disable any vehicle in one shot and only one is needed for a shock AOE to happen.
