UNSC REG system

The UNSC REG system was a system of serial numbers where individuals associated with UNSC Starship[1][2] or UNSC Space station.[3] It appears to be a logistical code for tracking cargo from UNSC starships, as numerous crates on the Infinity use its number.[4]
