Huh? I thought those things referenced in Halo: First Strike were actual robotic drones. I dont have The Art of Halo, but are you sure it's not the Engineer? 125.238.90.11 04:22, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm sure it's not the Engineer. In fact, these two different species were on seperate pages of each other in the Art of Halo. --Blemo23 04:27, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

I also saw this, and I'm not sure what to make of it. I think I'm going to have to look at that book again. --Lord of SPARTANsLOMI HQI here your criesMay your works be honorable

What the heck is this? a drone or an engineer? or someting else. ~ UserWiki:Galacticdominator|~]] ~ ~ 21:32, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Pretty sure this is a concept/cut/deleted unit, never mentioned outside of The Art of Halo. 70.92.161.227 03:08, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Are we really sure this isn't an ordinary engineer? The description of it is almost the same as of an engineer. Grupa 'Zamamee 18:36, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

The Art of Halo shows an image of an insect, akin to the Drones. The title of the concept art is Drone Engineer. Whether or not this refers to the Yanm'e, *shrugs*... - 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 18:38, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Having had a look at the relevant page in the Art of Halo, it seems pretty clear they are only talking about what we now know as the Huragok. During the development, they seem to have conceptualized the Engineers as insect, but the majority of the sketches are the Huragok we now know. The Yanme'e seem to be a wholly different development which may have been some reuse of the old sketches. I certainly do not interpret that page as suggesting there's an engineer-class of Yanme'e. - ScaleMaster117 (talk) 20:16, 1 July 2013 (EDT)

Well, I've just unearthed this article and reorganized it because it said it didn't match the wiki's standards, didn't even think the article could be wrong. From what I've understood, the article itself should be deleted, I guess? Imrane-117 (talk) 21:11, 1 July 2013 (EDT)
"Drone Engineer" and all similar spellings will be redirected.— subtank 06:41, 2 July 2013 (EDT)

Non-Canon

Seeing as these have never been seen or referred to anywhere except one page in The Art of Halo, wouldn't that make them non-canon? SPARTAN-347 03:32, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

I'm sure the Yanme'e crew aboard the ship in Contact Harvest were engineers.-- Forerunner 09:53, 26 March 2011 (EDT)

If it references them being seen in the Art of Halo book, will we ever get a picture? --TheGutsyChipmunk 00:00, 6 April 2011 (EDT)

I will if I get the chance. —S331TalkContributions 00:25, 6 April 2011 (EDT)
