UNSC Pillar of Autumn (Approved)

Reason: Well referenced and sourced, plenty of images, and well detailed overall. It is one of the most noteworthy named vessels of the Halcyon-class light cruiser, and the predecessor of the newer Autumn-class heavy cruiser. The Autumn played a pivotal role in the Battle of Installation 04. And also because it should be given another try. --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 18:55, 27 January 2014 (EST)Xamikaze330

Shall we make this a featured article? Is three support votes enough? Does anyone else care to vote? --Xamikaze330 [Transmission|Commencing] 12:07, 3 February 2014 (EST)Xamikaze330
It still has another week open for voting. At this point, I'd say it's probably enough support, but it wouldn't hurt to have more.--Spartacus TalkContribs 12:17, 3 February 2014 (EST)

Halo 2 Collector's Edition (Approved)

Reason: I think the presentation of the article serves the article well, giving it a clean look. Though it lacks transcripts from each video, what the article does best is providing readers the best collection of videos without ever needing to leave the article. Has it been long enough for a consensus to be made? - NightHammer (talk) 18:43, 15 September 2014 (EDT)

I totally forgot about this nomination (I blame Destiny!), but since there is unanimous approval, I will add it to the list.--Spartacus TalkContribs 19:25, 16 September 2014 (EDT)

Erde-Tyrene civilization (Approved)

Reason: Very well-written and sourced. There is little to no grammar, pronunciation, or spelling errors. Contains a fitting quote and images in my opinion. The civilization is an interesting part of the Halo lore.

Halo: Faith (Approved)

Reason: It comprehensively covers virtually everything we know about this cut-short fan film, from screenplay to casting to budget to music. It's an unusual choice, since it's not an official piece of Halo media, but it's just as detailed as one, and so worth giving attention.

Halo: Contact Harvest (Approved)

Reason: I should probably be working on Broken Circle/New Blood/Spartan Strike/Nightfall/Hunters in the Dark, but I noticed that Wikipedia's article on Contact Harvest was better and a featured article there. So, borrowing some of Wikipedia's sources and some of my own, I expanded our own article on Contact Harvest. I believe that the article is well-sourced, has a sufficient plot summary, effectively details the development and reception of the novel, and I added some missing characters to the "Appearances" section. I believe that this article includes all relevant information on the novel.

Should we replace the image of Sam using an SMG with another image that doesnt play so fast and loose with the canon? - Japeth555

I was thinking about it and if you guys would prefer another infobox image, then I can easily replace it with the image in the gallery of Laden arriving at the asteroid (it was the original infobox pic when I was working on the article, though I felt that a pic of Watts' actual capture would be better). --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 20:55, 26 March 2016 (EDT)
John aiming at Watts perfectly encapsulates the battle and it's also one of the better looking images that are featured for this article. Helianthus All right. Shoot!
I also second John aiming at Watts. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 00:23, 27 March 2016 (EDT)

John-117 (Closed)

Honestly, the article is in decent condition. It has a lot of good quotes and pics, but I have a few issues. Most importantly, the article needs some references in some places (particularly in older sections). Secondly, (this is just my opinion) I'm not a fan of having small subsections with only a couple sentences. Obviously, it is unavoidable in some cases, but I find it happens a bit too frequently in this article. Most of it can be resolved by either merging them into a larger subsection (kind of what I did with parts of Fred's article) or in some cases, the subsection can just be expanded upon (such as Sigma Octanus). I was actually working on John's article on the side, though I've been too busy with uni lately to work on it. I can add part of that to this article to help though. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 18:34, 11 April 2016 (EDT)

Ok, yeah, you're right. But as for me, i don't see any problems with small sections. It's like military service record, where each event, every single operation deserves it's own paragraph, even if it's small one. Maybe one day we'll got the chance to fill in the blanks. Besides it will be shame to loose a few good quotes, they suits well. But again, this is my opinion. --Necrontir 19:33, 11 April 2016 (EDT)

I closed it for now due to lack of votes, though I hope one day to see the article here again. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 00:47, 2 May 2016 (EDT)

Meridian (Approved)

San'Shyuum (Approved)

Reason: Well-sourced (a loooot of sources), as many decent quotes as I could find, comprehensive, and lots of nice pics. I've been working on this article for a while and Pokemon Go didn't help me at all, but I finally sat down today to finish it and I think it turned out pretty good. The quote I used for the "Reproduction and life cycle" section is pretty creepy though.

  • However, should we add the image of Tem'Bhetek to the post-war section? Also, the image of the reformists is technically from the San'Shyuum meeting the Sangheili on Ulgethon, isn't it? Not the time of the schism. -Japeth555
    • For Tem, I was thinking about it, but I'd rather wait until we get a higher quality one from Mythos. To be honest, that's one of the reasons why I haven't bothered nominating his article to be featured either, as I prefer them to have the best pics possible. As for the Reformists, you're right, but I just threw it in there to give readers an idea as to what the Reformists looked like. They are still Reformists after all. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 18:49, 13 July 2016 (EDT)

Reason: Very comprehensive and detailed, thoroughly sourced, and now even featuring a few more images to make it look nicer.

I disagree. The notion that the SoS and the UNSC were jointly controlling it and watching for the Flood still seems like it could have been a mistake where installation 05 was meant instead. Also, there is not note about how it is curious that Lasky didn't bring 07 up in Halo 4 when he mentioned Halo rings under UNSC control, such as 05 and 03. I think there are still too many problems here. Japeth555 (talk) 13:14, 13 October 2016 (EDT)Japeth555

You're right in that those bits are questionable, especially Catalog's statement. We could always choose to politely ignore it, maybe relegate it in the "Production notes" section, or just slap a note on it. As for the second one, technically Halo 4 is two years after Hunters in the Dark. Something could've happened that led to Lasky not including 07. --Jugus (talk) 00:22, 14 October 2016 (EDT)

Great job. I wonder of we should include an image perhaps of text from one of Halo 3's terminals, since there is such a lack of images. —This unsigned comment was made by Japeth555 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Is that meant to be a vote of support Japeth?--Spartacus TalkContribs 16:35, 20 November 2016 (EST)
Eh, I don't think it is necessary. In my opinion, an article doesn't actually need images to be considered "featured", but as long as it is well-written. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 20:40, 20 November 2016 (EST)
Definitely. There's a lot of subjects that have only appeared in non-visual media that still have well-written articles, so the lack of images alone shouldn't hold back a feature. --Jugus (talk) 00:15, 23 November 2016 (EST)

  • Oppose.svg Oppose -- Not a bad article at all, however it lacks many references in the body and the infobox, and most major sections lack quotes, of which there are many to choose from. The intro could also do with a large expansion, going into more detail about he program itself and covering its role in the Covenant War. The article also has a section on the Spartan-IIs in Halo Wars, but makes no mention of Halo Wars 2. Also, in my opinion, the "Publicity" sub-section should be moved to the bottom of the "Personnel" section as it's more about what the public has been told about the program, while the other sections are more directly about the Spartans. -- Topal the Pilot Blueteam.png (Talk|Contribs) 22:03, 24 March 2017 (EDT)
