I was just wondering and wanted to know what people thought........Does anyone think the odds are good that we'll eventually see a Halo 3 Anniversary by the time 2017 rolls around? I know it's silly to discuss it now when we have Halo 2 Anniversary, but I am genuinely curious what people think the odds are of this, since Halo 3's graphics have aged a little better than its two predecessors had before their respective anniversaries. But there are probably still ways Halo 3 could benefit from the same treatment someday. What does everyone else think? Are the odds good or bad considering these facts? Purely curious.262VigilantGuardian (talk) 03:56, 23 November 2014 (EST)

I think it would be very unlikely. Halo 3 was close enough to next-gen that it still looks good enough and plays well enough without the Anniversary treatment. Could it happen? Sure, but I don't think it needs it in the same way as Halo 2 did. Then again, that's what other people said about Halo 1 and 2. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 05:05, 23 November 2014 (EST)
Which is why I can't help but feel curious enough to speculate on the admittedly slimmer chances of it. I mean by 2017 it will probably have begun to show its age a little more than it is right now, particularly with the character animations and even the cutscenes I'm not so sure are aging all that great either. But the graphics certainly do hold up better than the first two games in their original formats. So if it got such a treatment at all, it probably wouldn't be nearly as drastic as either of those. Still, a lot can happen in three years, and it's already been seven, so as more newer games come out who knows how it would hold up by that point.262VigilantGuardian (talk) 05:10, 23 November 2014 (EST)
Meh, considering the jump from even Halo 2 to Halo 2 Anniversary wasn't huge (when you flip back and forth, at least) the difference between a Halo 3 and Halo 3 Anniversary would be negligible. The game would end up looking a lot more like an alternative art style than an overall upgrade (sentiments I actually have toward H2A).--FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 01:30, 24 November 2014 (EST)
